The short version: on the Butterfly Ultra, the front wheel has the motor built into it and the rear doesn’t. That decides the tires. A solid front tire can’t go flat next to the motor, where a puncture is the most awkward repair on the scooter, and thanks to the front suspension it barely changes ride comfort. An air rear tire rides softer — the same one passed more than 1,000 km of testing without a leak. Each wheel gets the tire that suits the job it does on this particular frame.

Due to the emergence of the EN17128 regulation, this mechanism does not comply with the new regulations. Therefore, we must add a second safety lock to prevent the shaft from accidentally sliding out of the slot. As a result, we carried out a series of designs and finally came up with a solution.
